Short answer
Existing Subway franchise owners can apply with Merchant Fund Express for working capital, equipment financing, a line of credit or revenue-based financing, from $5,000 to $5,000,000. The most common Subway requests are remodel funding, bread-oven and refrigeration replacement and payroll across several stores. Each location is reviewed on its own deposits and existing payments, and a complete file usually gets a decision in 2–4 hours. Merchant Fund Express is not affiliated with Subway.
What Subway owners usually need funded
Remodel deadlines
Subway's published brand standard is a remodel every 10 years, and owners plan years ahead for it.
Ovens and proofers
Daily bread baking puts constant wear on ovens and proofing cabinets.
Nontraditional sites
Stores inside travel centers, campuses and airports run different hours and seasons.
Multi-store payroll
Many owners run several small stores with shared managers.

| Product | What it does for a Subway store |
|---|---|
| Business loan | A lump sum for the remodel your development agreement calls for. Franchise business loans. |
| Merchant cash advance | Fast capital repaid as a share of card and bank deposits, so a slow week takes a smaller bite. Franchise MCA. |
| Revenue-based financing | Payments that track lunch-traffic sales instead of a fixed amount. Revenue-based financing. |
| Line of credit | A reusable limit for royalty and payroll weeks that collide. Line of credit. |
| Equipment financing | For ovens, proofers and coolers, with the equipment anchoring the deal. Equipment financing. |
| Working capital | For food cost and paper goods across stores, repaid from the store's own revenue. Working capital. |
Already carrying an advance? Existing advances are considered, and MCA refinance is there to lower the payment. More owners in your category: Sandwich shops franchise funding.
Match the need to the funding
| If you need to… | Look at | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Meet a remodel deadline | Remodel funding | Timed to the contractor schedule |
| Replace an oven or proofer | Equipment financing | Send the vendor quote |
| Bridge a campus store's summer slowdown | Revenue-based financing | Payment follows revenue |
| Cover payroll across stores | Line of credit | Per entity, draw as needed |
| Buy a Subway from another owner | Not offered | Acquisition financing |
Subway specifics that shape the review
Subway's franchise FAQ lists an 8% royalty and a 4.5% advertising fee on gross sales. That 12.5% is higher than many sandwich brands, and a reviewer takes it into account when working out what a store can carry each week. Subway also says nontraditional venues make up about a quarter of its global footprint, with formats starting around 400 square feet. Those stores can be very seasonal: a campus location may be quiet in July, a travel-center store busy on holiday weekends.
Remodels are the big planned expense. Because the brand standard sets a cycle, owners often know the deadline years in advance. Applying once you have quotes, rather than after the contractor starts, keeps the operating account intact. If you run several stores under separate LLCs, apply under the entity that owns the store being remodeled.

A worked example (hypothetical)
An owner of four Subway stores under one LLC has a remodel due at the oldest store and a proofer that keeps failing at another. They ask for $60,000. The reviewer would read the shared account's deposits, subtract the 12.5% royalty-and-advertising share and existing payments, and could offer equipment financing for the proofer with working capital for the remodel finish work and a closure cushion.
